Get Back In The Pocket

 I am a drummer. It’s what I am. I have been playing drums for 45 years. I graduated from Berklee College of Music and have played extensively including, show bands on cruise ships, musical theater pit work, and original bands, touring and in the studio. I have played styles from rock, reggae and ska, to gospel, jazz, and big band.

I have played hand percussion for dance classes and Zumba events. I created a rhythm and movement class for dancers and group drumming programs for schools and assisted living facilities.

I have owned two music businesses, one was for group drumming, and the other was a performing arts studio that my wife Julie and I had in Miami, Fl.

I have been teaching students, on and off, since 1994. My approach is to meet the students where they are and design a curriculum based on their goals. Music should be fun. That is why we “play” music.

I am also a certified meditation instructor and have created a meditation program combining shamanic drumming and mindfulness meditation.  Click the link below for more information.
